The future of work.

The Problem

Professionals and small businesses in the North East lack flexible, affordable workspaces, while landlords with underutilised spaces struggle to find tenants. Traditional office leases are costly, and there's no simple way to connect these groups or build community within co working spaces.

The Solution

A Co working app which lets users sign up, book various workspaces, and connect with landlords offering underused spaces. The app will also foster community by enabling networking, events, and collaboration, benefiting both users and landlords while optimizing space usage.

Our Key findings

Pandemic

*Fundamentally changed how and where we work

*Result were taken from research done on a group of 105 people working from a coworking space in Newcastle. By conducting surveys and from having more in depth conversations with both regulars and those who were there on a day pass

Freedom

*It gave many the freedom to choose where to work

68%

*Of people choose to work from a coworking space even when hired on a remote contract

Community

*82% of feedback showed the primary reason people choose to work in a co working space was to feel like they are part of a community

After gathering our research though interviews, surveys and discussions, we then conducted multiple workshops to gain a deep understanding of our users, their wants, and their needs.

Through these interviews we were able to identify key pain points, desired features, and opportunities to enhance the overall experience of finding, booking, and renting coworking spaces.

Research & categorisation

Defining the MVP

Separating the MVP from Version 1 was important because it allowed us to focus on delivering the core features first, In the hope that we can get early feedback and validate the idea.

With the MVP, we can test and iterate quickly, while Version 1 will include more features based on what we learn. This way, we can move faster, use resources wisely, and make sure we're building the right product.
