Marketplace V.1

Problem

Despite the growing popularity of affiliate marketing as an effective way to drive sales and revenue, there remains a significant challenge for both brands and partners in discovering and connecting with one another. Brands often struggle to find the right partners that align with their business goals and values, while partners face difficulties in gaining visibility and exposure to potential clients.

This lack of efficient partner discovery and connection can lead to missed business opportunities and limited growth potential for both brands and partners. Additionally, the existing process for identifying and evaluating potential partners can be time-consuming, costly, and inefficient, leading to frustration and a drain on resources.

Solution

To address this challenge, we created a Marketplace v.1 feature within our affiliate marketing platform. By providing a streamlined and intuitive platform for brands and partners to discover and connect with one another, we aimed to simplify the process of affiliate marketing, improve ROI for brands and partners, and drive growth and innovation in the industry.

Key challenges that brands and partners faced in discovering and connecting with one another were identified, as well as the features and functionalities that would best serve their needs. The competitive landscape was explored, and opportunities for differentiation and innovation were identified. By leveraging insights from the discovery phase, a marketplace solution was created that provided tangible value to both brands and partners, driving growth and success in the affiliate marketing industry.

User flows and journey mapping.

Journey mapping out a user being invited and accepting a campaign invite from a brand involves a step-by-step analysis of the user's experience from the moment they receive the invitation to the moment they accept it.

The user may receive the invite through various channels such as email, social media, or a dedicated campaign management platform. The user will then need to review the campaign details, including the compensation, requirements, and deadlines, to ensure that it aligns with their goals and values.

Hypothesis testing

Sucess, with delays or fail. Testing my hypothesis on users, in order to see if the proposed process is easy to follow.

By giving the test subject a secenario and asking them to show and explain how they would carry out a task, I was able to see where they paused or struggled throughout the process.

The results of test 1 showed some process errors. The results of test 2 showed an initial update to the manage option, where it was made more obvious. This led to better noticeability for the Manage option and increased success for each test subject. Making these small iterations improved overall usability.

Investigate & Approve Partners

It is crucial for a brand to thoroughly investigate a partner or influencer before approving them for a campaign to ensure the best possible outcome for both parties. By vetting potential partners, brands can confirm that they are partnering with trustworthy and reliable individuals who align with their values and goals. This not only protects the brand's reputation but also reduces the risk of potential legal or ethical issues down the line.

Additionally, investigating partners or influencers helps to ensure that the partnership will be a good fit for both parties. Brands can assess the partner's audience demographics, content quality, and engagement metrics to determine if they are the right match for the campaign. This can help to ensure that the campaign is successful and reaches the intended target audience.

Moreover, investigating partners or influencers before approval can also help to establish clear expectations and guidelines for the campaign. By understanding the partner's content creation process, brand safety measures, and past performance, brands can provide specific and detailed campaign requirements that align with their marketing goals and objectives.
